I do not want to submit something as a word document purely because DevArt doesn't like my RTF from my pretty new Mac. However, I'll do it anyways. I really want to get this new story bit up here so y'all can read it. (If anyone ever does, sometimes I wonder) The feedback I've gotten so far on it is encouraging, so why not? In addition, I'm finding that the more I find out about our US government, the more cynical I become. I'm not a fan of anarchy, but I think we need a drastic overhaul to pull us out of the increasingly corrupt and inefficient bureaucracy that we seem to be heading into. Take that inclination, and add it to a futuristic setting, which has already undergone a sort of anarchy, and my Heaven set is what I think would result. I suppose this might be why I'm heading towards law, especially contract or business law. It's interesting, and it keeps my cynicism relatively under control. Yay details and law. However, this fall, I look forward to getting back into a four year school, though, rather sadly, not the one I departed from. It's just a step in my path though, and a few (three) friends, though wonderful to have, aren't making this any easier.

I've decided that law school in Chicago is an attractive option, especially as I want to practice law in some capacity in that general area. I have someone here for me, and he's actually encouraging me to do so, and in his words, if necessary, he'll finish his engineering degree, then follow me. We'll see how that goes.
